Whole Brain Coaching

Typically we approach challenges with “left brain” thinking: logic, analysis, and data. While this can be useful, bringing “right brain” strengths into coaching really powersclient results.  At the end of the day, we are whole brain human beings. Our full potential is unlocked when we tap into both sides of our brain.  Our “right brain” is our source for creativity, intuition, visual thinking, and imagination.  As partof our coaching, we can incorporate various “right brain” exercises designed to provide you with new perspectives and enhanced creative problem solving.

A picture is worth a thousand words!  Images can often express what words cannot.  Images can literally “draw out” our thoughts on a deeper level than mere words. Using visual techniques is not about creating art but rather using the language of color, shapes, etc. to access and express inner thoughts and wisdom. Don’t worry; there is absolutely no prerequisite for artistic talent!  In our coaching, we can use visual maps as guides.  I can also graphically record our coaching session to provide a customized, visual depiction of our coaching session.  Many clients post these hand-drawn graphic recordings as a reminder of their session insights and to support accountability for their action steps.  In some cases, clients are open to visual journaling, creating vision boards and/or creating an “art”ifact  representing an insight or goal.

Law of Attraction Visualization

The law of attraction is the name given to the term that "like attracts like" and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results. Simply put, our thoughts create our future.  It is about envisioning what we want, using our senses to feel as if we have this in our lives today, trusting that the Universe will provide and being open to receiving.  As a practical coaching tool, we can incorporate daily gratitude journaling, positive affirmations, vision boards, or the consistent practice of reframing negative thoughts into our coaching.  It can also include more complex monitoring of the “emotional vibrations” we put forth.  I realize this may sound a little “woo woo”.  From a practical perspective, science is increasingly accepting that human beings have measurable energy that we do emit.  If we want to attract positive things into our life, we need to ensure our “radio signal” is a positive one.   I am certified as a Law of Attraction Coach and have seen this powerful tool result in truly transformational change in my clients.
